About The Position

The Technical Project Manager Senior will lead complex, cross-functional healthcare technology and data operations initiatives supporting enterprise data ingestion, operational readiness, production workflows, and scalable process improvement. This role will partner closely with Data Management, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, DevOps, Product, Client Success, and leadership stakeholders to drive execution across high-volume, SLA-driven healthcare data environments. This position is responsible for managing technical projects related to eligibility, claims, member data, data integration workflows, automation, operational reporting, deployment readiness, production support, and client-facing data initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare technology experience, deep familiarity with enterprise data workflows, and a proven ability to coordinate technical teams while improving transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years project management experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development with 3 years leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Requires experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Requires experience working with project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) highly preferred.
  • Experience working with portfolio management applications and rational tools highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting healthcare payer, managed care, claims, eligibility, enrollment, provider, analytics, or operational data workflows highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with SQL, data validation, operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and data-driven issue investigation highly preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated healthcare environments with HIPAA, CMS, SOX, or similar compliance considerations highly preferred.
  • Experience with MCO data operations, payer data ingestion, eligibility files, claims files, member data, operational reconciliation, or healthcare data exchange highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale production data cycles, monthly recurring workflows, client data deliverables, and SLA-driven operational environments highly preferred.
  • Experience with Metabase, SQL/DataGrip, dashboarding, data quality reporting, or operational analytics highly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating CI/CD, DevOps, Azure-based workflows, deployment planning, release readiness, and production implementation activities highly preferred.
  • Experience leading automation or process improvement initiatives that reduce manual operational work and improve scalability highly preferred.
  • Certifications such as SAFe Agilist, ITIL Foundations, Six Sigma, PMP, or similar project/program management credentials highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical work into clear project plans, status updates, risks, decisions, and executive-level summaries highly preferred.
  • Ability to build trust and drive alignment across technical, operational, and business stakeholders highly preferred.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to identify gaps, create structure, and move work forward in ambiguous environments highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects at least $5-7 M in size or equal complexity.
  • Directs system analysts, software designers, and programmers to determine best methods to achieve project objectives.
  • Applies project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
  • Manages all aspects of a project including initiating, planning, executing, closing, and controlling.
  • Coaches and mentors project team members.
  • Mentors other project managers around project management methodology and determines project scope.
  • Develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans
  • Develops training plans, requirements documents and project approval matrix.
  • Identifies project team training and tool needs.
  • Defines, recommends, and secures contractual agreements for technical services and products.
  • Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms.
  • Defines quality gates for each project methodology phase and critical success factors.
  • Establishes and manages the project warranty period.
  • Acts as subject matter expert for project and program management related tools and processes.
  • Leads technical project management efforts across healthcare data operations, enterprise data integration, ETL-style workflows, and operational modernization initiatives.
  • Manages cross-functional projects supporting payer/MCO data ingestion, monthly and recurring production cycles, client data deliverables, operational reporting, and SLA-driven workflows.
  • Partners with Data Management, Engineering, Analytics, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Product, Operations, and Client Success teams to ensure timely execution, issue resolution, and delivery readiness.
  • Coordinates technical intake, project planning, backlog prioritization, dependency tracking, risk identification, escalation management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Facilitates recurring governance meetings, program updates, release readiness reviews, operational deep dives, and cross-functional working sessions.
  • Supports deployment planning, CI/CD coordination, production readiness, and post-release operational validation in a regulated healthcare technology environment.
  • Drives process improvement and workflow automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve data quality visibility, accelerate escalation resolution, and increase operational scalability.
  • Develops and maintains project plans, status reporting, dashboards, operational metrics, KPI tracking, and executive-level summaries to improve transparency and decision-making.
  • Collaborates with technical teams on API integrations, data pipeline orchestration, SQL-based analysis, workflow optimization, and enterprise platform improvements.
  • Supports new market launches, client implementations, opportunity analyses, data readiness activities, and operational handoffs from implementation to ongoing production support.
  • Monitors risks, blockers, timelines, dependencies, and resourcing needs across multiple concurrent technical initiatives.
  • Ensures project activities align with internal SDLC standards, healthcare compliance expectations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational governance processes.
