About The Position

The Project Manager has responsibilities for leading projects and/or programs on a day-to-day basis. This includes creation of project plans, business cases, design strategies, resource allocation, budget and forecast management, cross-organizational coordination, vendor management, executive communication/reporting, and critical issue resolution and escalations. This role can be virtual and requires US citizenship.

Requirements

Ability to manage projects with little supervision and provide status and issues to executives and upper management.
Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management approaches.
Proven ability to drive and coordinate the tasks of a large, matrixed project team which is geographically dispersed.
Proven ability to influence others and to build trusting relationships with clients and peers.
Proven skills in program/project management.
Ability to create and maintain project plans and other project management documentation.
Strong initiative and creativity in gathering and analyzing project management-related data.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, set direction, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communications and presentation skills, including ability to summarize and concisely share key project information at all levels of the organization and with clients.
Strong ability to provide leadership/mentorship to other team members.

Responsibilities

Diligent monitoring of project progress using work plan and project plan tools.
Acting as the main point of contact for account ownership and having a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s industry environment, pain points, and strategic plan for technical services.
Preparing documentation and leading client steering committee meetings.
Applying risk mitigation strategies to the project plan to ensure overall project success.
Coordinating with all appropriate project stakeholder groups and personnel to ensure excellent delivery of projects.
Providing all necessary data for tracking, planning and project evaluation to ensure data accuracy in project management tools.
Establishing, planning, and executing major milestone/deliverable reviews and decision gates to complete the project life cycle. Ensuring all required deliverables are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and maintenance of the technical solution.
Nurturing client/stakeholder partnership to ensure overall satisfaction with the project.
Setting up issue tracking structure and project boards to facilitate efficient and accurate project status reporting.
Effectively communicating project status and issues to management and presenting options for issue resolution.
Working closely with the project team to effectively understand project progress and manage project tasks.
Analyzing project risks and inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
Ensuring project meets the expected budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Ensuring business case accurately reflects costs and is updated as changes occur; ushering the business case through the approval process and adhering to all standard procedures.
Enforcing change management practices to meet project timelines and client expectations.
Actively participating in the development of new business; performing market research; contributing to the development of proposals; meeting with prospective new clients.
Participating in the recruitment and mentoring of more junior Project Managers and other staff.
Providing process improvement recommendations and proactively sharing lessons learned based on best practices and industry standards.
