The Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division specializes in components for precise plasma process control, essential for manufacturing memory chips and touch screens for devices like smartphones and tablets. Comet seeks a customer- and team-oriented Technical Project Manager - Hardware for its San Jose site. This role requires managers to maintain a broad perspective while addressing unique engineering challenges, leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects with engineering expertise. The Project Manager will define requirements with internal customers and guide projects through their entire lifecycle, from research and development to production launch.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience handling inception to mass production customer-facing hardware, firmware, and/or software product development preferred.
• Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office Tools

Nice To Haves

• Mastery of the Atlassian platform (Jira and Confluence) highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage hardware development project schedules, budgets and resources with engineering teams and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with internal partners on product development schedules, dependencies and budgets.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Interface between customers, product engineering and NPI cross functional teams, setting and managing schedules, budgets and milestones.
• Synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at all levels.
