Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Technical Project Manager 2 (Construction) opportunity in Richland, WA to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role involves managing discrete technical construction projects from initiation through turnover, ensuring timely completion of all project objectives. The position requires defining, managing, and monitoring project scope, deliverables, budgets, schedules, risks, and technical requirements. The Technical Project Manager will support and, when required, lead project teams in planning, tracking, and executing construction activities. Project activities must be managed in accordance with client’s contract requirements, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) expectations, and Department of Energy (DOE) Order 413.3B. The role involves administering project work organized through control accounts and work packages, developing and evaluating policies, procedures, and standards related to construction and work execution within nuclear facilities, and coordinating project activities with various departments to ensure safe and efficient execution. Monitoring project budgets, schedules, and performance, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing technical guidance are also key responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1), DOE, NNSA, safety, security, and quality requirements, and supporting testing, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities are critical. The position also requires preparing project status reports, risk assessments, and executive-level communications.
