About The Position

Idea Entity Corporation seeks a Technical Project Lead in Herndon, VA. This role involves architecting, designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software to meet increasing demands for availability, reliability, security, and performance. The lead will also oversee functional aspects of projects, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and deployment, while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent)
  • 8 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • 8 years of experience leading and mentoring software development teams through the full product lifecycle (requirements, design, development, release, and maintenance)
  • 8 years of experience developing web applications using modern web technologies and cloud services, including JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS, REST APIs, ASP.NET Core/ASP.NET Razor, SQL/PostgreSQL, Azure or AWS, and using code-versioning tools such as Azure DevOps/TFS and Git
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing workflow engines, BPM tools, or process-automation platforms that integrate structured and unstructured data sources (including databases, PDFs, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs)
  • 5 years of experience working with knowledge graphs, semantic search, or AI/ML tools embedded in operational workflows
  • 5 years of experience implementing audit, compliance, and security frameworks (such as RMF, CMMC, and NIST), including security and data protection controls for large-scale systems and databases
  • 5 years of experience configuring and deploying SaaS platforms in enterprise environments (such as Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud, AWS, and SharePoint on-premises), and managing data migrations from legacy email/Excel processes into structured systems
  • 5 years of experience working directly with senior functional leaders (such as directors, commanders, and executives) to capture requirements, translate them into storyboards and configurable workflows, lead change management, and mentor junior staff on customer processes and best practices
  • Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.

  • Oversee the functional aspects of projects, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and deployment.

  • Uphold code integrity and organization, contributing to a scalable and maintainable codebase.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring successful project completion.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Responsible for technical personnel-related decision-making, including hiring, firing, or recommending such technical personnel actions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and standards to ensure the application of cutting-edge technologies.
