The Peraton Health, State and Local Sector is seeking a Senior Associate, Technical Project Engineer to join us in supporting and maintaining the Medicare Fee For Service claims processing system. In this role, you will be a contributing member of one or more Agile Scrum teams providing maintenance and operations support for the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) contract. The Technical Project Engineer at this level is an emerging contributor and relationship builder who supports the team in delivering value through Agile project execution. You will assist in defining Stories, contribute to Team Backlog prioritization, and help ensure that work meets the needs of users, CMS, and other stakeholders while complying with the Definition of Done. You will support the conceptual and technical integrity of Epics, Features, and components within the team's scope of work. Success in this position requires the ability to build and sustain working relationships — both within the Agile team and externally — including with Product Management, CMS customers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders. You will support the bridge between the development team and the broader program, helping to translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable work items under the guidance of senior technical and project leadership. You will work within a highly structured, rigorous development environment operating under the SAFe Agile/Scrum framework, supporting quarterly release cycles that are central to the DME program's delivery model.
