About The Position

V2Soft is seeking an early-career Technical Program Manager or Project Engineer to support an automotive seating team developing next-generation EV seating systems. The role drives complex hardware programs from concept through industrialization, helping deliver against cost, weight, efficiency, performance, quality, and Start of Production (SOP) targets. The position is part of a small, collaborative, technically focused team and involves close work with engineering leaders and cross-functional partners. The role supports the engineering lifecycle for integrated seating and interior systems, including ideation, design, validation, integration, and industrialization. It combines technical program management, issue resolution, schedule and deliverable tracking, supplier coordination, and clear communication of program status and risks. The position is hybrid, with four days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical program management, project engineering, or a similar role supporting hardware development; early-career applicants with strong internship or co-op experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle, including design, development, validation, integration, and launch.
  • Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies commonly used in automotive interiors or seating.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skills in program management, project management, and mechanical engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automotive seating, interiors, or EV systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Systems-oriented mindset, curiosity, and drive for strong execution and continuous improvement.
  • Interest in automotive innovation and delivering high-quality, customer-focused products.
  • Knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Testing or performance experience.
  • Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Use technical knowledge to drive complex engineering challenges to resolution and keep programs on track for Start of Production and beyond.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, finance, and strategy teams to scope work, define requirements, identify risks, estimate budgets, and provide actionable program updates.
  • Support the engineering lifecycle from ideation and design through validation, integration, and industrialization for integrated seating and interior systems.
  • Identify issues from design reviews, virtual builds, and physical build events, then drive containment and resolution across teams to protect schedule and quality.
  • Track program deliverables and monitor system compatibility, integration opportunities, and ways to improve execution velocity and collaboration.
  • Maintain supplier relationships in partnership with Supply Chain to secure timely parts and support for build events.
  • Prepare meeting agendas that drive decisions, eliminate bottlenecks, and retire risks.
  • Make problems visible early and ensure risk-mitigation plans are actively executed.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making with engineering, finance, and strategy stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and team execution.
