Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure Data Centers

Meta•Menlo Park, CA
•$189,000 - $259,000

About The Position

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, large-scale infrastructure data center programs that support its global compute and network capacity. The role drives end-to-end delivery across the data center lifecycle, from site selection and design through construction, commissioning, and operational readiness, in partnership with engineering, real estate, construction, and operations teams. The position defines program strategy, resolves ambiguous cross-functional dependencies, and establishes frameworks to improve planning and execution across Meta’s worldwide data center portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in technical program management, with direct ownership of large-scale data center, critical infrastructure, or hyperscale facility programs.
  • Experience managing full data center lifecycle programs, including site development, design coordination, construction execution, and operational commissioning.
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, critical path analyses, and risk management frameworks for multi-workstream infrastructure programs.
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, construction, real estate, procurement, and operations organizations on capital-intensive infrastructure programs.
  • Experience communicating program strategy, risk, and investment decisions to executive and cross-functional leadership through structured written deliverables and program reviews.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data center capacity planning and translating compute or network demand signals into infrastructure delivery roadmaps.
  • Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.
  • Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
  • Background in construction management, facilities engineering, or civil and structural project delivery in a technology infrastructure context.
  • Experience managing hyperscale data center programs, including coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, power infrastructure, and network deployment workstreams.
  • Experience building or scaling program management operating models, tooling, or governance frameworks across an infrastructure program portfolio.
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own end-to-end program strategy for large-scale data center infrastructure projects, covering site development, civil and structural construction, mechanical and electrical systems, and commissioning milestones.
  • Align engineering, real estate, construction management, network infrastructure, and operations teams to support integrated execution and on-time capacity delivery.
  • Develop and maintain master program schedules, critical path analyses, and risk registers for multi-site data center portfolios with interdependent workstreams.
  • Establish governance frameworks, reporting cadences, and escalation paths that give leadership visibility into program health, schedule risk, and capital expenditure status.
  • Resolve cross-functional blockers, including permitting, utility coordination, equipment procurement, and contractor performance, through structured problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Partner with capacity planning and infrastructure engineering teams to translate long-range compute and network demand forecasts into data center delivery roadmaps.
  • Identify gaps in program delivery processes and design scalable solutions to improve execution quality and speed across the data center program management organization.
  • Present program status, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders through written and verbal communications, program reviews, and investment decision forums.
  • Mentor program managers on technical data center program management practices, tooling, and cross-functional coordination methodologies.
  • Lead post-project retrospectives and lessons-learned processes to improve delivery frameworks across the infrastructure data center portfolio.
