About The Position

The Technical Program Manager will lead sophisticated and large-scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with engineering managers and engineers. This role involves estimating work efforts, defining achievements, and managing resources. The individual will ensure the alignment of technical programs with strategic objectives, track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate and mitigate risks, and communicate status to management and stakeholders. Responsibilities include setting up and leading governance, tracking timeline and milestone achievement, and ensuring adherence to program standards. The role also requires managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, forecasting, creating, and managing budgets and resources effectively, and identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across technical, operational, and strategic domains. Developing successful partnerships with engineering, product, and program stakeholders, managing internal stakeholders, and communicating the roadmap, upcoming changes, and value propositions are key. The role involves providing outward status updates on metrics, program status, and other initiatives, interfacing with senior leadership, and identifying areas for process improvements to drive optimization efforts. Creating business cases, Project Charters, Project Plans, RACI matrices, and other essential planning tools are part of the role. The focus is on Planning, Tracking, Reviewing, and Process Management across all programs, and participating in global engineering leadership meetings as a key program representative, providing detailed updates for leadership reviews and strategic planning sessions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Experience in managing technical programs that require collaboration among multiple, cross-functional groups.
  • Proven experience independently leading and managing end-to-end projects and programs.
  • Familiarity with processes, tools, and metrics related to project/program management and Agile (Scrum) Methodology.
  • Experience in building rapport with stakeholders and presenting complex ideas in a comprehensible manner.
  • Experience in managing project deliverables and providing regular status reviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and lead others across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and with confidence with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for all program aspects.
  • Ability to engage and energize project teams to achieve ambitious goals.
