About The Position

This is not a traditional project management role; it is a high-impact delivery leadership position. As the Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Ford Energy IT, you will lead the end-to-end orchestration of the entire IT portfolio required to stand up and run this business. From core ERP and CRM systems to bespoke services, you will ensure every software product is delivered, integrated, and ready for global business operations. You will thrive in this role if you are an expert at navigating ambiguity and building structure out of complexity to align a diverse suite of IT services with a strategic business launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Program Manager leading large-scale, multi-workstream IT programs.
  • 3+ years of experience managing multi-million dollar IT program budgets, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Strong technical background in software development and the SDLC.
  • Ability to navigate complex CapEx/OpEx allocations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience standing up IT infrastructure for a new business unit or startup venture.
  • Familiarity with the integration of core business systems like ERP (SAP/Oracle) and CRM (Salesforce).
  • Experience in the energy, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of all Ford Energy IT workstreams required to launch and sustain the business.
  • Develop and maintain the master program schedule and complex dependency maps.
  • Ensure every IT service—whether internal or vendor-provided—is synchronized to meet critical business milestones and "go-live" dates.
  • Oversee the end-to-end financial health of the Ford Energy IT portfolio, including budget planning and forecasting.
  • Track actual spend (CapEx/OpEx) to ensure the program delivers within fiscal targets.
  • Balance resources and align priorities across multiple product teams to ensure a cohesive and cost-effective IT ecosystem.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program health, communicating status, risks, and critical decisions to executive leadership and technical engineering teams.
  • Proactively identify technical and operational bottlenecks.
  • Develop and execute robust mitigation plans to keep the program on the critical path for launch.
