About The Position

The Technology Department is looking for a Technical Program Manager for the Agile Portfolio Office Team. In this hybrid position, you will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology projects. You will be working closely with people throughout the organization to ensure that all requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and in alignment with our corporate strategy. Responsibilities include establishing project deliverables, effective communication plans, preparing status reports, and executing said plans. You will help manage the project teams' deliverables and identify gaps in existing processes and update them or design new processes where needed. A successful candidate possesses technical acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to align teams around a shared vision. You will be the connective tissue across the Technology Department to ensure timely and successful program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude for quickly understanding and working with new technologies, systems, and technical concepts relevant to project delivery.
  • Understanding project management principles and practices, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, dependency, and change management.
  • Proficiency with documentation and ticketing tools to plan, track, document, and communicate project status and deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years' proven experience in project management
  • Deep understanding of Agile & Scrum Methodologies
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • PMP or Agile Certification is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology projects.
  • Ensure all requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and in alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Establish project deliverables, effective communication plans, and prepare status reports.
  • Manage project teams' deliverables.
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and update them or design new processes where needed.
  • Lead individual projects from initiation through delivery by defining project objectives, success criteria, milestones, and delivery plans aligned to business outcomes.
  • Drive day-to-day project execution, ensure work stays on track, manage risks and issues, and escalate blockers appropriately.
  • Partner with business owners, vendors, and technical teams to align expectations, timelines, and delivery commitments.
  • Escalate risks related to scope, cost, or contractual dependencies when needed.
  • Analyze systems, processes, or data to identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Break down complex initiatives into actionable plans and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Adapt communication style and level of detail based on audience (technical and non-technical).
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and consistently to the right stakeholders at the right time.
  • Work effectively across cross-functional teams and organizational levels.
  • Ensure the right participants are engaged in planning, decision-making, and delivery.
  • Understand business needs, identify pain points, and ensure project outcomes align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Build trust, gain buy-in and drive alignment throughout project delivery.
  • Partner with technical and business teams to elicit, document, validate, and manage project requirements.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet agreed-upon outcomes and constraints.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates, kickoffs, and readouts for stakeholders and leadership audiences.
