About The Position

As a Technical Program Manager at Lam, you are not just overseeing projects—you’re orchestrating breakthroughs in support of developing and releasing new products. You lead cross-functional teams through successful project execution, blending your technical excellence with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products. Your role is vital, owning technical projects from initiation through delivery using your expertise in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budgets. In this role, you directly contribute to successful sourcing, supplier ramp readiness, and meeting cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience; or a PhD with 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of continuous improvement or technical program management.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating leadership and influence skills to deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company.
  • Program Management experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power Point, and SAP.
  • Ability to read and interpret product Bill of Materials (BOMs).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in or knowledge of semiconductor fabrication, semiconductor equipment operations, or related industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of program management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.
  • Supply chain knowledge, especially for critical commodities as related to sourcing decisions and cost strategies.
  • Technical background, preferably in the semiconductor industry. Deposition equipment product knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Forms and leads cross-functional teams (comprised of Supply Chain, Operations, and other members as required) to define sourcing strategies and sourcing plans for new products, including recommendations for new supplier selection and evaluation as part of the Pilot Organization.
  • Serves as a single point of contact to the Supply Chain team to confirm supplier readiness in terms of production capacity and approved critical parts manufacturing prior to key product milestones.
  • Manages the transition of new products from pilot production to volume production.
  • Using software tools, performs regular cost rollups and analyzes product cost performance to drive corrective action as required to achieve product cost targets, and manages the product cost roadmap prior to production release.
  • Works collaboratively with supply chain and engineering stakeholders; develops supplier selection processes for piece parts or outsourced assemblies and identifies supply chain risks supporting sourcing decisions.
  • Responsible for resolving discrepancies between cost targets and quoted costs; creates and delivers presentations to program executives and CFT stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of should-cost or cost allocation and recognizes opportunities to improve product design for cost, quality, and delivery through early supplier involvement.
  • Provides feedback to engineering on DFx (cost, manufacturability).
