About The Position

Decagon is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the delivery of complex customer deployments and drive internal cross-functional programs that enable enterprise readiness. This role involves working across various departments including APM, Engineering, Product, Research, Security, Legal, and Go-to-Market to translate requirements into executable programs, manage dependencies, and proactively identify and resolve issues. The Technical Program Manager will also be responsible for continuously improving operational and internal functional excellence to support Decagon's growth. This is a fully in-office role based in San Francisco or New York.

Requirements

4-6+ years of experience as a technical program manager or in product/engineering operations.
Direct ownership of either complex enterprise deployments or large-scale internal cross-functional initiatives.
Track record running high-stakes customer implementations or feature builds at the design-partner or strategic-deal tier, where scope is ambiguous and requirements evolve.
Demonstrated ability to drive programs without authority, using an outcome-oriented but collaborative approach.
Structured, rigorous approach to ambiguity, with the ability to define program scope, sequence dependencies, and surface blockers early.
Technical fluency to engage credibly with engineering teams, ask the right questions, pressure-test tradeoffs, and translate between technical and business contexts.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to calibrate depth, format, and framing for diverse audiences (customers, engineering leads, executives, partners).

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with LLMs or conversational AI.
Track record of moving programs through legal, security, engineering, and customer approval gates.
Ability to anticipate friction points and keep timelines intact.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end operational excellence and program management for complex customer implementations, including design partnerships and strategic accounts.
Align on scope, sequence dependencies, manage risk, and ensure smooth handoffs and milestone achievements.
Translate customer requirements and feedback into structured program plans, prioritizing high-impact asks and mapping them to delivery roadmaps.
Track execution against committed timelines for customer implementations.
Drive internal cross-functional programs such as lifecycle management, security and compliance buildouts, and external certifications from kickoff to completion.
Align stakeholders and hold workstreams accountable for internal programs without direct authority.
Continuously improve operational and internal functional excellence to enable seamless scaling as Decagon grows.
