About The Position

Idaho National Laboratory’s National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) is seeking Technical Program Managers to accelerate the demonstration and deployment of advanced nuclear energy systems. As part of NRIC, you will work with reactor developers, national laboratories, federal agencies, and industry partners to overcome technical and infrastructure challenges and move innovative reactor concepts from design through demonstration. You will lead multiple complex, rapidly evolving projects and may provide direction to subordinate project managers. You will establish program priorities, integrate project activities, monitor performance, and manage changes to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will also coordinate the engineering, construction, modification, and operational readiness activities required to support advanced reactor testing and demonstration. Responsibilities include directing or supporting projects involving experimental infrastructure, facility upgrades, new construction, fuel availability, testing capabilities, and demonstration sites. You will build multidisciplinary research and engineering teams, coordinate work across INL and partner organizations, and maintain productive relationships with customers and stakeholders, including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Department of War (DOW), other national laboratories, and private-sector reactor developers. You will communicate program performance to customers and laboratory leadership, ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standards, identify emerging needs, and develop new opportunities that advance NRIC’s mission.
