Technical Program Manager, Supply Chain

FluidstackAustin, TX
$200,000 - $275,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, including acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. The company is singularly focused on speed and scale as key differentiators. They hire people who care deeply about this problem space and operate with extreme ownership, full autonomy, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the frontier of AI. The Supply Chain Team is critical to Fluidstack's mission, working on problems such as supplying 10GW of compute, qualifying and dual-sourcing critical equipment, and making supply chain the reason for building faster than competitors. The team also focuses on building the most accurate supply chain prediction modeling using AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruptions, creating a structural edge for the company.

Requirements

  • Experience at the intersection of engineering and procurement, translating design requirements into sourcing-ready specs and BOMs without losing technical intent.
  • Experience running supplier qualification and selection processes, evaluating vendors on technical fit, lead time, and capacity.
  • Experience reviewing vendor submittals against design specs and catching deviations before they reached fabrication or the field.
  • Ability to quarterback across engineering, sourcing, and vendors.
  • Experience managing BOM revisions and change control on programs with multiple concurrent engineering changes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to resolve technical disagreements between engineers and suppliers.

Nice To Haves

  • Data center or industrial equipment categories (switchgear, transformers, cooling, generators).
  • ERP or PLM systems (SAP, Oracle, Arena).
  • Formal program or project management background.
  • Experience on modular or first-of-a-kind builds.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge engineering and sourcing on every critical equipment category, turning design changes into updated BOMs and supplier requirements with no dropped scope.
  • Partner with engineering from concept through detailed design, shaping specs and drawings so what gets designed is what can actually be sourced and built on schedule.
  • Own BOM accuracy and change control across the program, so sourcing negotiates and issues POs against the right part, revision, and quantity every time.
  • Drive supplier selection and qualification, running technical evaluations alongside engineering to close on vendors who meet spec, lead time, and capacity thresholds.
  • Review and approve vendor submittments, including shop drawings, cut sheets, and test reports, against design intent, catching spec deviations before they reach the field.

Benefits
