WHOOP is seeking a Technical Program Manager (NPI) to support manufacturing execution for new hardware products from early development through mass production ramp. In this role, you will coordinate factory readiness, manage manufacturing schedules and risks, and work cross-functionally to resolve technical and operational challenges during product development and launch. You will partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, both at WHOOP HQ and international manufacturing sites, to help deliver high-quality products on time and at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing development, hardware engineering, or related roles, preferably in consumer electronics or hardware manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting hardware NPI programs, engineering builds, or production ramp activities in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers or external manufacturing partners, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of hardware manufacturing processes, including SMT, assembly, test, and pack-out, and familiarity with manufacturing metrics such as yield and throughput.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track technical issues, and drive follow-through.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with familiarity using project management and collaboration tools; willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to support manufacturing builds and production readiness.
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive manufacturing execution for assigned hardware NPI workstreams across prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production ramp, ensuring build objectives and milestones are met.
  • Coordinate contract manufacturer readiness for engineering and production builds, including materials, equipment, manufacturing processes, and test infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing schedules, build plans, risk trackers, and issue lists, proactively identifying risks, tracking dependencies, and escalating challenges as needed.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Quality to support process development, validation, test deployment, and production readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution during NPI builds, tracking root cause investigations, corrective actions, and critical risks through closure.
  • Support build readiness reviews, monitor manufacturing performance and key metrics, and provide clear program updates to cross-functional stakeholders while identifying opportunities to improve NPI execution.
