About The Position

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Technical Program Manager III in Seattle, Washington. This role involves coordinating and managing the technical project and program development of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies. The position requires managing the complete software development lifecycle, from design through release, using Object Oriented coding and design principles (Java, C++, Perl, HTML). Key responsibilities include defining projects, collecting business requirements, writing functional and technical specifications, driving software development efforts, managing priorities, and performing software application performance tuning. The role also involves creating schedules, identifying and communicating risks to stakeholders, defining risk mitigation strategies, and facilitating appropriate software engineering solutions. Additionally, the Technical Program Manager III will manage cross-functional teams and/or third-party vendors for the implementation of project/program requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Project Lead, Product Manager, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.
  • One year of experience in managing technical projects from design to release for large-scale software applications.
  • One year of experience in software application performance tuning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage technical project and program development of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies using Object Oriented coding and design (Java, C++, Perl, HTML) throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from design through release.
  • Define projects, collect business requirements, and write functional and technical specifications.
