About The Position

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. As a Process Engineer you are responsible for performing the activities list below under the supervision and with support from a senior team member. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering with typical relevant experience ranging from 2 to 3 years. Previous experience in a sector such as Refining, Ethylene, Petrochemicals, Polymers, LNG, or Hydrogen is preferred.

Requirements

BS in Chemical Engineering required
2+ years relevant experience
Solid knowledge of Chemical Engineering disciplines
Ability to perform under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a sector such as Refining, Ethylene, Petrochemicals, Polymers, LNG, or Hydrogen is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process simulation using HYSYS and production of process datasheets and heat and material balances
Developing P&IDs including hydraulic calculations, relief valve sizing, vessel sizing, design condition development, etc
Utility and offsites design development such as utility balances associated with steam, cooling water, air, hot oil, fuel gas, nitrogen, etc
Reviewing relevant supplier information impacting process design.
