The Technical Product & QA Specialist I is responsible for planning, directing, and delivering technical program content and departmental projects to meet customers’ needs and support College objectives. This role involves working independently using comprehensive decision making skills and diverse procedures on a daily basis, and providing technical and consultative services internally and externally.

Nice To Haves

  • Business degree a plus.
  • Experience in a clinical lab or commercial or regulatory health care environment desirable.
  • Microbiology experience preferred
  • Management experience or course work preferred.
  • MT/MLT (ASCP); HT (ASCP); CT (ASCP) highly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and ensure accuracy of kit instructions, result forms, grading, evaluations, and summary reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements with an internal and/or customer facing focus.
  • Provide leadership and training to the current and new Surveys staff, as well as for staff from other departments, by demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Surveys, data analysis.
  • Serve as primary authority for assigned Surveys working in partnership with Technical Specialists.
  • Assist in support of large program-wide project with the goal of streamlining operational/technical interfaces.
  • Provide direction and consultative services internally on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as primary resource for Surveys Materials Management functions.
  • Maintain technical expertise and knowledge by attending local Committee meetings and other continuing education events.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
