The Technical Product Manager advocates for the end-user experience through data-driven product discovery and development, ensuring alignment between various departments like Engineering, Data Science, Product, Business, and Platform priorities within Mayo Clinic's overall strategy. They apply Agile product methodologies, manage product and operational risks, and foster strong partnerships with business stakeholders and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 yrs of technical digital product management experience (3 yrs with digital products and platforms); or minimum of 7 years direct digital product management with HS diploma/GED required.
  • Experience in managing complex products or a family of multiple products required.
  • Experience in SDLC.
  • Certification in Scrum Product Owner within 1 year

Nice To Haves

  • Prior health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the vision, technical strategy, and technical requirements to align with business requirements, roadmap, and execution for assigned technical product/capability.
  • Advocating for the end user experience through data and research driven product discovery and development methods.
  • Ensuring alignment between Engineering, Data Science, Product, Business and Platform priorities in context of Mayo Clinic's overall strategy and goals, while ensuring the end-user needs are met.
  • Applying Agile product methodologies.
  • Driving the technical product strategy, vision, design, and development execution.
  • Ensuring delivery of high-value products in alignment with business goals and user experience optimization.
  • Assisting in leading a high performing cross-functional team effectively and efficiently that is collaborative with business partners, customers, and other stakeholders (Data Science, Engineering, UX/UI, Operations, Engagement, AI, etc.).
  • Leveraging market and customer feedback and data to inform and guide future product/feature development.
  • Advocating for end-users, and building and improving features based on their pain points - striving to make product technology and workflows easy to use.
  • Proactively managing and monitoring product and operational risks (regulatory, security, operational, etc.) in order to prevent and/or mitigate risks to the customer and business.
  • Establishing deep partnerships with business stakeholders to ensure product achieves business requirements and aligns to other organizational strategies and priorities.
  • Monitoring and managing product schedules, scopes and budgets and delivering as scheduled.
  • Managing external Mayo Clinic vendor and partnership relationships as assigned.
  • Working collaboratively across all MCP domains, business partners (Practice, Education, Research, Administration, Platform, International, Provider Relations) and Mayo Clinic Shared Services.
  • Working collaboratively with internal Mayo Clinic clients, including consultants, clinical and research professionals, administrators, and external business partners.
