About The Position

The Technical Product Manager - Operations Project Delivery owns the technical product roadmap for CoVolt Power’s Project Delivery and field operations capabilities. The role translates business needs into product requirements, prioritizes the backlog, and drives delivery of tools, integrations, reporting, and AI-enabled capabilities across the construction lifecycle, from project setup and field execution through closeout. This is a product-led individual contributor role partnering with Project Delivery, field operations, project controls, finance and payroll, data/BI, architecture, security, and change management. The business owns operating processes and field execution outcomes; this role owns the product roadmap, platform capability, integration, data readiness, and delivery and adoption support. The position is based in Houston and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two remote days; it is not open to remote candidates.

Requirements

  • Experience owning product roadmaps, backlogs, requirements, prioritization, releases, and stakeholder alignment in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Ability to understand project delivery, field execution, project controls, timekeeping, quantity capture, productivity, jobsite operations, and closeout workflows, and design around jobsite realities such as mobile devices, connectivity, training, support, and operational change.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, construction/project management, field, collaboration, and reporting/BI systems.
  • Comfort with source-of-truth decisions, master data, APIs and integrations, data quality, and cross-system process design.
  • Track record of delivering MVPs, managing scope, coordinating testing, and moving from discovery to adoption without allowing complexity to stall progress.
  • Practical understanding of where AI can improve decision quality and cycle time, balanced with security, privacy, quality, and business accountability.
  • Ability to communicate complex tradeoffs clearly to business leaders, translate technical constraints into decisions, and focus on clear business value and an adoption path.
  • Must be based from the Houston office and work a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two remote days; remote candidates are not eligible.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, EPC, renewable energy, field operations, project controls, or project-based businesses, especially jobsite execution, labor productivity, field reporting, or operational dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with Procore, Vista/Viewpoint, B2W Track, UKG, LCPTracker, Power BI, Snowflake, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Fleetio, Motive, Azure, or Microsoft 365/Copilot, supporting capabilities such as time and attendance, payroll, quantity, productivity, cost, jobsite dashboards, safety and quality, or equipment and fleet data from requirements through adoption.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled field capabilities and cross-functional delivery, such as documentation, progress validation, exception detection, or operational analytics, in a governed enterprise environment with architecture, security, data/BI, OCM, finance, and field leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the prioritized Project Delivery product roadmap for construction, jobsite, and field operations technology, aligned with execution priorities, business value, process maturity, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Translate business needs and pain points into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release priorities with field, project controls, finance and payroll, safety and quality, data/BI, and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Advance the roadmap for field execution platforms supporting time capture, productivity, cost, equipment, and compliance.
  • Own the backlog for real-time site visibility, jobsite dashboards, operational intelligence, digital time, attendance, and productivity capabilities, including field approval workflows, payroll integration, and fraud-prevention and location controls.
  • Own master data, data quality, and integration readiness to support trustworthy quantity, cost, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Define system-of-record boundaries and platform ownership for data domains to reduce duplicate entry, uncontrolled trackers, and inconsistent field data.
  • Identify practical AI and automation use cases, including field documentation assistance, daily report summarization, progress validation, exception detection, productivity insight, safety and quality trend analysis, and project knowledge reuse.
  • Manage intake, backlog refinement, MVP scoping, release planning, testing, adoption feedback, hypercare coordination, and continuous improvement for Project Delivery technology efforts.
  • Partner with architecture, security, data, OCM, and support teams to align solutions with integration patterns, identity and security standards, mobile and jobsite infrastructure needs, support readiness, change impact, training, and operational handoff.
  • Establish a prioritized roadmap and backlog with business outcomes, owners, dependencies, near-term MVP releases, and defined field pain points.
  • Clarify platform business and IT ownership, support paths, integration touchpoints, and systems of record.
  • Define MVP scope, data sources, adoption paths, and support needs for site digitalization, operational dashboards, timekeeping visibility, and productivity reporting.
  • Create pathways to automate or integrate high-friction paper forms, whiteboards, spreadsheets, and offline approvals, and establish ownership, definitions, quality expectations, and refresh standards for key data domains.
  • Define priority AI use cases with clear value, governance, and human-in-the-loop controls, and measure working releases through usage, adoption, field impact, and business-value KPIs.
