Technical Product Manager

BLUE ORIGINSeattle, WA
$141,162 - $197,627Onsite

About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We are working to make that future a reality by creating reusable launch vehicles and systems that are safe, low-cost, and serve as the foundation for a permanent human presence in space. Terawave is Blue Origin's commercial satellite communications network, a 6 Tbps multi-orbit constellation delivering enterprise-grade broadband to the most demanding customers on Earth. As a Product Manager on the Terawave team, you will own a complete customer segment end-to-end: product specifications, SLA framework, go-to-market playbook, pricing tier, and anchor customer relationships. This role requires the technical depth to challenge engineering specs, the commercial acumen to model segment P&L, and the communication skills to represent your segment at VP-level reviews. You will be the single accountable PM for your archetype (enterprise, government, hyperscaler, etc) and your work directly shapes Terawave's product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of product management with an end-to-end ownership track record.
  • Financial modeling fluency: ability to build unit economics, pricing models, and revenue projections for a segment.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent product at VP-level reviews.
  • U.S. person.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience defining and owning SLA frameworks for enterprise or government customers.
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Understanding of LEO satellite network architecture: modem standards, phased-array antenna constraints, and ground segment design.
  • P&L or revenue-impacting product ownership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own a complete customer segment end-to-end: product specification, SLA framework, go-to-market playbook, pricing tier, and pipeline.
  • Lead aspects of customer discovery to requirements translation for the assigned segment.
  • Drive anchor customer programs within the segment: design-partner agreements, structured feedback sessions, and beta access terms.
  • Build and maintain segment-level financial models in coordination with Finance, including pricing tier assumptions and SLA cost structures.
  • Define SLA service tiers with embedded cost assumptions: uptime guarantees, latency commitments, and remediation terms.
  • Prepare and defend business cases for proposed product investments at Head of Product review.
  • Brief the Head of Product on open decisions requiring cross-functional alignment.
  • Continuously monitor the engineering decision log for trades affecting segment SLAs.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
  • Stock Options for all regular employees (working at least 20 hours/week)
  • Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
