About The Position

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a technically fluent Product Manager to own product strategy, development, execution, and lifecycle management across current vehicles and future automotive platforms. The role will lead 0-to-1 product development from concept through launch, aligning customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives. The Product Manager will work across hardware, firmware, software, and operations teams to set priorities, manage tradeoffs, and build stakeholder consensus for successful delivery. The position is on-site five days per week in Foster City, California. The stated salary range is $115,000–$125,000; the offer depends on factors including location and job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Technical fluency to engage credibly with hardware, firmware, and software teams.
At least 6 years of direct product management experience bringing 0-to-1 products to market in the automotive or autonomous vehicle space.
Ability to negotiate and influence a wide array of stakeholders to drive decisions and consensus.
Ability to balance long-term strategic objectives with near-term tactical wins.
Self-starter with a track record of taking action and delivering.
Critical-thinking skills and ability to navigate complex tradeoffs in a structured way.

Responsibilities

Define product areas across current vehicles and future platforms.
Own successful product execution across the product lifecycle.
Develop a deep understanding of customers, the market, and business objectives to identify opportunities and align the product domain with company goals.
Serve as Product Owner in a cross-functional product development process spanning hardware, firmware, software, and operations.
Prioritize features and ensure priorities are clearly communicated.
Drive decisions and consensus among stakeholders.
Balance long-term strategic objectives against near-term tactical wins.
Navigate complex tradeoffs in a structured way and deliver product outcomes.
