Technical Product Manager - EHR

Nabla•New York, NY
•$140,000 - $180,000•Onsite

About The Position

Nabla is hiring a Technical Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for its EHR integrations across existing and new platforms. The role focuses on how Nabla’s clinical AI platform fits into the EHR workflows clinicians use every day, from launching Nabla within a patient chart to returning notes, orders, and visit diagnoses to the appropriate places in the chart. It combines clinical workflow and UX design with technical understanding of integrations, including SMART on FHIR launches, embedded contexts, APIs, rate limits, data mapping, versioning, and EHR-specific constraints. The position works closely with backend and full-stack engineers in a cross-functional squad, as well as other product squads, Design, Customer Success, Technical Implementation, Clinical, Go-to-Market, and leadership. The Product Manager will visit client sites—including clinics, emergency departments, and inpatient floors—to observe real clinical workflows, guide health systems through rollouts and change management, and use user insights and performance metrics to shape product decisions. The role is based in Nabla’s Brooklyn, NY office and is in-office-first, with regular travel to client sites across the United States. Nabla describes its team culture as driven by excellence, curiosity, kindness, humility, growth, and inclusion. The company supports well-being with workday activities at least three times a week, including yoga, running, Pilates, or HIIT, and hosts regular off-sites and meetups across several cities.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of product management experience, including experience in healthtech or another regulated, safety-critical industry.
  • Track record shipping products built on complex integrations, such as APIs, developer platforms, or third-party systems, including ownership of versioning, documentation, and partner-facing workflows.
  • Strong systems thinking, including the ability to understand complex architecture, anticipate dependencies, and make technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Excellent UX judgment and demonstrated ability to turn technical constraints into simple, intuitive workflows for non-technical users.
  • Deep user empathy and genuine interest in clinician workflows.
  • Willingness to travel and spend time onsite with clients.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to discuss data models with engineers and rollout plans with health system executives, and to create alignment across squads and functions.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information, competing priorities, and high ownership.
  • Based in the Brooklyn, NY office; this is an in-office-first role, not fully remote, with regular travel to client sites across the United States.
  • Full professional fluency in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Epic or the Epic ecosystem, including Vendor Services, Hyperspace, Haiku, or Canto; or experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or MEDITECH.
  • Experience with clinical documentation, orders, coding, or revenue cycle workflows.
  • Prior software engineering experience, or ability to write scripts and reason about system logs, API schemas, and data models.
  • Experience guiding Enterprise health systems through change management, go-lives, and multi-site rollouts.
  • Experience building products powered by ML/AI.
  • Working proficiency in French.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Nabla’s EHR integrations across existing and new platforms.
  • Design the end-to-end clinical workflow from launching Nabla inside an EHR to exporting notes, orders, and visit diagnoses into the chart.
  • Visit client sites to observe providers using their EHR and Nabla, and translate observations into product decisions and strategic insights.
  • Develop technical fluency in EHR capabilities and constraints, including APIs, FHIR resources, launch contexts, data models, release cycles, and validation cycles.
  • Partner with Design to create simple, trustworthy interfaces that account for integration constraints and support clinician adoption.
  • Collaborate with other product squads, anticipating dependencies and sequencing work across integrations.
  • Work with Customer Success and Technical Implementation to bring Enterprise clients live and guide health systems through change management, rollout, and adoption.
  • Define and track metrics including adoption across encounters, successful export rates, time spent in the chart, integration reliability, and support burden; use them to guide prioritization.
  • Prioritize work across new EHR platforms, existing integration improvements, and reliability, testability, and documentation.
  • Create alignment across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Go-to-Market, and leadership on priorities, progress, risks, and product decisions.

Benefits

  • Workday well-being activities at least three times a week, with options including yoga, running, Pilates, or HIIT.
  • Regular off-sites and meetups across New York, Paris, San Francisco, and other cities.
