About The Position

In this role, you will be a Product Manager for Test software, focusing on solving complex customer problems within our Electronics, Electromechanical, and Embedded SW Test application areas. You will collaborate daily with a cross-functional team including R&D, Business Units, and other functions to achieve business goals and enhance customer experience. You will work on high-impact projects, contributing to NI's software vision for its products. A successful candidate will define and implement product capabilities that are easy to sell, deliver outcome-based value to customers, and contribute to Business Unit profitability.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management or Business Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering strategy and value that will drive results.
  • Clear understanding of project goals and priorities.
  • Able to take ambiguous plans and turn them into clear action plans.
  • Ability to self-drive and define work.
  • Strong collaboration in and outside of project teams.
  • Can influence without authority.

Responsibilities

  • Understand market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Create a product vision and prioritize new features and requirements.
  • Act as a domain expert and implement best practices with the development team.
  • Understand individual customer requirements and create functional specifications, use cases, mock-ups, and other necessary development documents.
  • Explain functional requirements to the development team.
  • Ensure designed and developed solutions effectively meet end-user business objectives.
  • Validate and test newly developed features and their impact on existing features.
  • Demonstrate new features to key stakeholders and gather feedback.
  • Collaborate with the UX team to create a pleasant user experience.
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder interface for the application, interacting with customers, sales, consulting, and development teams.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training material and product documentation reviews.
  • Support BU Business Management in marketing and sales strategies, including pricing, sales enablement, and customer training.
  • Assist Sales, Solutions Marketing, CCS, and BU teams in supporting RFPs, RFQs, ongoing implementations, and customer demos (preparation/delivery).
  • Act as the first responder for any functional queries or issues from internal and external teams.
