About The Position

OceanMD, a WELL Health Company, is seeking a Technical Product Manager, Platform to lead the evolution of its core platform capabilities. This role will own the shared services and platform features that enable OceanMD's digital health ecosystem, working at the intersection of product strategy, engineering, operations, and platform architecture. The Technical Product Manager will partner closely with Engineering, UX, Support, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to define priorities, translate complex technical and operational needs into clear product requirements, and deliver secure, scalable platform capabilities. This is a new, full-time, hybrid role based in Toronto, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office, with occasional travel within Canada. The role offers the opportunity to build the foundation of Canada's leading digital health platform, influencing multiple product lines and thousands of healthcare providers. It involves working on meaningful technical challenges such as platform architecture, APIs, security, access management, workflows, integrations, and operational tooling. The position also provides opportunities for product leadership growth, mentorship, and exposure across various departments within the company.

Requirements

  • Experience managing software products, technical product initiatives, or complex delivery programs, including ownership of requirements, prioritization, and cross-functional execution.
  • Comfort working across multiple stakeholders and bringing clarity to complex problems.
  • Technical curiosity and confidence to participate in discussions involving APIs, system architecture, authentication, integrations, data flows, security, and platform scalability.
  • An operational mindset, with a natural inclination to understand how products are configured, supported, and used, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences and build alignment across teams.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships, stay organized, and thrive in team-oriented environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in healthcare technology, SaaS platforms, or enterprise software.
  • Exposure to interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, OAuth, identity and access management, or healthcare integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product lifecycle for shared platform features, including Ocean Portal, site and user administration, provider onboarding, APIs, security workflows, and other foundational services.
  • Partner closely with developers to understand technical constraints, define scalable solutions, clarify system behavior, and ensure new capabilities are secure, reliable, and built for long-term growth.
  • Gather technical, operational, and business requirements and convert them into user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, release plans, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify administration, reduce operational friction, improve onboarding workflows, and enhance tools used by internal teams (Support, DevOps, Education, Implementation).
  • Prioritize platform initiatives, balancing customer needs, technical debt, security, scalability, operational impact, and business priorities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, design discussions, stakeholder alignment meetings, testing activities, and release readiness.
