About The Position

Visa's Corporate IT department is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining the IT systems and infrastructure that support a connected and collaborative workforce, which in turn powers Visa's business operations. Within this organization, the finance technology team focuses on the full lifecycle delivery and ongoing support of strategic technology initiatives for the finance, revenue operations business units, and Visa clients. This specific position will collaborate with business partners and technical delivery teams on the billing portfolio. As a Product Analyst, you will utilize a blend of technical skills and product analysis expertise across a variety of high-impact projects. This role is based in Visa's Austin office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Working experience building high volume and large scale distributed systems.
  • Billing and/or Accounts Receivable systems (e.g ORMB, Oracle EBS etc) experience is required.
  • Expertise in understanding complex data models and writing complex database queries for RDBMS, Hadoop and NoSQL.
  • Experience working with Claude code and prototyping tools such as Figma and Replit is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, MS Teams).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity.
  • The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
  • Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of information and/or data into key strategic insights.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt.
  • Experience in business analytics and intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
  • Project Management experience (inclusive of internships).
  • A background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake of billing automation projects from an IT perspective.
  • Collaborate with product, finance, and tech stakeholders to understand project scope and impact.
  • Groom pricing and billing requirements, creating clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for complex features.
  • Understand the current manual billing processes for products requiring automation.
  • Participate in backlog prioritization and facilitate release planning.
  • Ensure high-level sizing and estimation are performed for features committed to a release.
  • Create mockups and prototypes in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
  • Perform reverse engineering and create documentation for billing systems.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units, engineering, and other relevant groups to ensure seamless integration of new and existing feature sets into billing systems.
  • Provide data extracts from various databases to business teams to support business operations.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings and product demos.
  • Manage functional dependencies with upstream and downstream systems during solution development and delivery.
  • Communicate and advocate for data-driven insights to ensure product teams are building the right features and focusing on the correct metrics.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for analysis, design, and delivery using AI tools.
  • Ensure user experience and design thinking are integrated into solutions developed for end-users.
