Technical Process Automation Engineer

Vimly Benefit Solutions•Seattle, WA

About The Position

Vimly is hiring a Technical Process Automation Engineer to build and deliver tools and systems that automate manual work and free staff to focus on customers. The role maps current processes, defines requirements, and develops the code, integrations, and data pipelines that replace manual tasks. Working with functional teams, the engineer builds automated workflows that transform raw data into actionable insights. This is a ground-up design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement role rather than a position focused on maintaining existing systems. It calls for a tenacious problem-solving mindset and an interest in connecting systems and improving business processes. The engineer embeds with business teams to understand workflows, identify operational bottlenecks, and uncover opportunities for scripting, workflow automation, system integration, and AI where useful. The role also includes building and maintaining automation infrastructure, preparing and analyzing data, documenting solutions, and testing, deploying, and supporting systems. The expected impact is to deliver one or two regularly used automated solutions for Finance within the first month, identify automation opportunities for Sales and other departments, and become a trusted process-automation resource. By the second month, the engineer is expected to identify complex problems proactively, have workflows running across multiple departments, and help shape automation best practices at Vimly. Base salary is $115,000–$135,000.
