About The Position

ERM is seeking a Technical Partner to help grow its Natural Resources practice, focusing on supporting clients in the power, renewable energy, diversified energy, and technology sectors across North America. This role, preferably based in the Atlantic Central Business Unit but with national reach, will provide technical leadership in biological resources, ecological mitigation, habitat conservation, ecological restoration, and environmental permitting. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients developing and operating major infrastructure projects, while also expanding ERM's market presence and technical capabilities. As a Partner, the individual will combine technical expertise, client relationship management, and business leadership to build long-term client partnerships, develop new business opportunities, and mentor multidisciplinary teams. This is an opportunity to join ERM's global partnership and play a leading role in delivering complex environmental solutions for significant North American energy and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting.
  • Proven leadership in mitigation and ecorestoration, including endangered species and habitat conservation.
  • Deep understanding of conventional and renewable energy markets in North America.
  • Strong business development track record, generating and delivering multi-million-dollar programs.
  • Expertise in HCPs, and regional permitting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience establishing mitigation banks and writing vegetation management plans.
  • Existing client relationships in the Power, Diversified energy and/or Technology sector that can be leveraged for growth.
  • Familiarity with utility commissions, regulatory agencies, and emerging sustainability trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development and client engagement activities within the Power, Diversified Energy, and Technology sectors.
  • Provide senior technical oversight for biological resources, ecological restoration, habitat conservation, and environmental permitting programs.
  • Support clients through project planning, permitting, construction, and operations phases.
  • Develop and grow key client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff and project managers.
  • Collaborate with ERM partners and service line leaders to support regional and national growth initiatives.
  • Drive project delivery excellence while meeting financial, safety, and quality objectives.
