About The Position

The Technical Packaging Associate will support the execution of new product transfer and launch, continuous improvement on package value engineering and OEE, implementation of quality/compliance projects with contract manufacturers and internal sites. Provide packaging technology support to ensure the region meets its supply and commercial objectives. This is an entry level role supporting Packaging activities for CMOs within scope of the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Engineering.
  • 1 year packaging experience in pharmaceutical, food, CPG, or consumer healthcare environments.
  • Ability to summarize complex ideas and problems and effectively communicate to stakeholders in different functions.
  • Technical troubleshooting.
  • Managing a certain number of projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships with various colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Engineering.
  • Ability to develop business cases for packaging initiatives.
  • Functional packaging knowledge in consumer products or healthcare, including printing, supplier interfaces, structural package development, materials, artwork, and graphics.
  • Understanding supply chain requirements from concept through manufacturing, distribution, customers, and consumers.
  • Experience initiating and executing cost savings projects.
  • Knowledge of packaging equipment efficiency.
  • Knowledge of packaging sustainability principles.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing stakeholders across a matrix organization, delivering results in ambiguous situations and under short deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Package assessments and continuous improvement at CMO’s.
  • Oversight and implementation of packaging validation/qualification/line trial activities impacting Haleon products.
  • Resolving quality issues, customer complaints as well as package damage throughout the supply chain while ensuring supply continuity.
  • Leading and delivering projects in areas of problem resolution, technical transfers and cost savings.
  • Identify and lead value engineering projects that deliver ongoing savings for Haleon products.
  • Learn and apply packaging procedures and documentation that are compliant with legal, regulatory and Haleon internal standards.
  • Establish strong relationships with commercial and resolve packaging issues that may impact their initiatives.
  • Provide Packaging support to CMO and internal packaging sites to drive improvements via designs, materials, equipment and processes.
  • Ensure regional packaging knowledge and expertise is transferred within Haleon.
  • Complete assignments with guidance and coaching from their manager.
