About The Position

This Technical Sales role covers the North West Dallas Metro and surrounding territory. The mission of the role is to drive market share growth by serving as the technical expert and trusted partner between our suppliers and manufacturing customers. You will engage in consultative sales conversations, uncover needs, and deliver creative solutions, not just components. Success in this role requires relentless sales activity, genuine mechanical curiosity, and the ability to translate technical knowledge into customer value.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and a drive to continuously learn new products and technologies are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power, Automation/Robotics, Motion Control, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule 2-4 in-person customer calls daily.
  • Expand revenue within existing accounts and aggressively pursue new customers using the Funnel process to identify, prioritize, and win opportunities.
  • Develop deep knowledge of focus product lines and working familiarity across all others.
  • Apply critical thinking and consultative techniques to understand customer challenges and recommend the right solutions.
  • Lead weekly Team Funnel meetings, leverage Product Specialists and supplier resources, and engage in team selling to maximize results.
  • Update sales and funnel activity weekly, submit accurate monthly expense reports, and complete Action Selling and other required training.
  • Represent Hartfiel Automation's mission, values, and quality standards in every customer interaction.
