About The Position

This role is for a Houston - South metro territory. The mission of the role is to engage with manufacturing companies, create sales and increase gross margin of the products we represent. The goal is to gain market share, meet and exceed annual goals, and best represent the suppliers we represent within a defined geographical territory.

Requirements

  • A degree in Fluid Power Technology, Automation Robotics or Motion Control Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering - from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in a related field is desired.
  • Lifts up to 30 pounds infrequently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and increasing market share in a respective territory with existing accounts and new prospects.
  • Learning focus products and having practical knowledge of all additional product lines.
  • Effectively utilizing supplier’s time during visits to maximize collective efforts.
  • Attaining a goal of four to five effective sales calls per day.
  • Leading weekly Team Funnel meetings.
  • Utilizing the Funnel process to identify, prioritize, gain, and maintain market share.
  • Updating Sales and Funnel activities on a weekly basis.
  • Completing accurate expense reports monthly.
  • Completing Action Selling, and other sales training at Hartfiel, utilizing these learned skills and abilities daily.
  • Drawing upon Product Specialist and other resources inside and outside Hartfiel as appropriate to support and move sales forward.
  • Drawing upon critical thinking skills and consultative sales techniques to sell creative solutions, not simply components.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Following all quality processes and procedures as established by Hartfiel Automation.
  • Operating within the intended framework of Hartfiel Automation’s mission, values, and vision statements.
