About The Position

Lynden Air Cargo is seeking a motivated Technical Operations Intern to support our Technical Operations team and help advance the company’s paperless initiative. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with technical leaders on projects involving SharePoint, SaaS (software as a service) file repositories, and other digital systems that keep our operations running efficiently. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience while contributing to meaningful, company-wide improvements. This is a seasonal position, with employment beginning around May through September, dependent on operational needs. This is an in-office position, with flexibility in scheduling after initial training is completed.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program.
  • Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and apply information from technical business publications, professional journals, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to professionally respond to routine inquiries or concerns from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and business partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to confidently present information to individuals or small groups in a clear and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Site structure and functionality, landing page layout, file transfer, file mapping, general site cleanup, and page permissions.
  • Assist in the company’s paperless initiatives by using various software and equipment to scan documents into an organized workflow for easy retrieval and review.
  • Support the implementation of a paperless cockpit and paperless workflows within the company using commercial software applications on Windows and iOS devices.
  • Assist the Technical Operations group with administrative tasks and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Assist with projects on an as-needed basis such as scanning documents, organizing information, presenting information, creating, revising and standardizing documents, working on the company’s SharePoint site and webserver, Monday.com site, developing training modules or training documentation.
  • Responsible for on-premise and web-based work, utilizing software tools such as Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Access, Oracle, Tableau, Teams, SharePoint Online, and other web-based tools, which may include the use of AI and Machine Learning technologies.
  • Upon completion of the term, the candidate should expect to have gained knowledge in adhoc airline operations and software operations including Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
