We are seeking a Technical Lead based in LATAM to support Hiring Events, a live, high-traffic production platform. This role is heavily focused on production support, incident management, system reliability, technical leadership, and maintaining business-critical event operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting complex production issues, working directly with client-facing teams, and leading engineering efforts across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Requirements

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong backend development experience with: Java Spring Boot, Python Django
Frontend development experience with: React
Experience with: Kafka, GraphQL, SQL and/or MongoDB
Build and deployment experience.
Experience with at least one of: Dagster, Data Lakes, Amazon Athena
Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.
Ability to use data to diagnose and resolve system issues.
Experience working independently and owning deliverables end-to-end.
Proven technical leadership experience.
Experience onboarding, mentoring, and guiding engineers.
Experience coordinating and overseeing technical work.
Strong ownership mentality.
Ability to independently merge and deploy code.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Strong prioritization and strategic thinking capabilities.
Solid understanding of software development principles and strong leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

Product Management experience.
Experience partnering with GTM teams.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as: Claude, Cursor, Windsurf

Responsibilities

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues impacting live hiring events.
Partner closely with Client Support and GTM teams to triage and address support tickets.
Ensure timely resolution of incidents and SLA adherence.
Monitor production environments and respond to alerts, outages, and performance degradation.
Support architecture changes and system integrations.
Maintain and update business event logic as upstream systems evolve.
Drive technical investigations using data and system metrics.
Lead engineering efforts and provide guidance to other team members.
Oversee the work of a team of developers, ensuring the team's performance.
Coordinate the team's tasks, provide guidance, and ensure the quality of the team's output.
