About The Position

Collixion Therapeutics is an early-stage biotech company dedicated to developing therapies for women with gynecological cancers who relapse after targeted treatment. This role is central to building at the intersection of AI and drug discovery in gynecological cancer. The Technical Lead will be involved in a broad technical territory, encompassing computational biology, genomics, AI/machine learning, and software and platform development. The company is seeking a builder who is comfortable with ambiguity and eager to contribute to creating something entirely new, with a clear pathway to a co-founder or CTO role.

Requirements

  • Strong across most of computational biology and genomics, AI and machine learning, and software and platform development
  • Experience working with and analyzing large-scale biological datasets from public sources
  • Understanding of how gene expression data is structured, normalized, and made meaningful in a research context
  • Experience building AI-powered applications that turn biological data into structured, interpretable predictions
  • Experience with LLM API integration – designing prompt architectures that produce scientifically grounded outputs
  • Knowing when AI adds genuine value and when simpler statistical approaches are more appropriate
  • Python proficiency
  • Experience deploying functional applications that non-technical collaborators can interact with
  • A builder instinct – you write code to ship things that work, not to demonstrate technical elegance
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Wants to contribute to something that does not exist yet
  • Sees a scientific question and thinks about how computation can answer it

Nice To Haves

  • Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, or biomedical engineering
  • scRNA-seq analysis experience
  • Prior experience at an early-stage biotech, research startup, or translational academic lab
  • Genuine curiosity
