About The Position
This role focuses on building, scaling, and maintaining front-end test automation for React-based applications using Cypress with a BDD/Gherkin workflow. The primary goal is to integrate tests into CI/CD, reduce flakiness, and provide high-signal quality feedback for releases. The main focus is on React UI automation (E2E and component testing) with Cypress, with API testing also included to validate REST APIs consumed by the frontend using Cypress or Postman/MSW. Light contract testing is considered a plus.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years in QA automation with React/JavaScript/TypeScript
- 2+ years hands-on with Cypress (v10+), including component and E2E testing
- Strong experience testing React applications (SPAs or Next.js) and familiarity with common patterns (hooks, state management, routing)
- Proven BDD/Gherkin experience with Cypress cucumber preprocessor (e.g., @badeball/cypress-cucumber-preprocessor), writing clear feature files and maintainable step definitions.
