About The Position

PlanIT Group is seeking a Technical Lead/ Software SME to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will support the Enterprise Content Management Suite of applications. As a developer, they will support the upgrade and maintenance of 13 separate applications. They should have experience with upgrading Documentum Content Servers, Webtop, as well as upgrading from Taskspace to D2. Experience with Open Text Directory Servers would be beneficial.

Requirements

  • Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies.
  • Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns.
  • Understanding of various coding methods and computer languages.
  • Data modeling and database design experience.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Experience with upgrading Documentum Content Servers, Webtop, as well as upgrading from Taskspace to D2.
  • SME in OpenText Documentum Software.
  • SME in Apache Tomcat Environment.
  • SME in Linux/UNIX OS.
  • Proficient in SDLC practices.
  • Proficient in Agile Methodologies.
  • Proficient in Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc).
  • Proficient in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Proficient in Problem/Risk Management.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years' relevant experience.
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must pass a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident / Green Card.
  • Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Open Text Directory Servers would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for project completion.
  • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Evaluate existing software solutions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee architectural approaches from conception to installation.
  • Support the upgrade and maintenance of 13 separate applications within the Enterprise Content Management Suite.
  • Act as an effective liaison leading technical development teams.
  • Facilitate discussions across multiple groups.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing, including presenting to management.
