About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Technical Lab Assistant (TLA) to join our Laboratory Department at our Bucyrus location. Under supervision, the TLA maintains laboratory equipment, assists with clerical duties, supports technicians and technologists, performs phlebotomy procedures, and processes specimens. Additionally, laboratory assistants perform CLIA-waived testing while producing quality results. Avita Health System is proud to serve the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations, having tripled in size and now employing over 2,300 team members and more than 200 physicians and advanced practitioners. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least two (2) years of full time experience in a hospital laboratory setting with phlebotomy experience.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and the accrediting body regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist.
• Graduate of a Certified Phlebotomy program.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• Medical Terminology
