About The Position
This is a Spring-Summer or Summer-Fall Co-Op position with the Navigation & Sensor Systems, Test Engineering team located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative test solutions for critical GPS receivers and sensor systems. The team delivers flexible, efficient, and highly reliable navigation and guidance solutions for diverse applications. This Test Engineering team is responsible for developing automated electronic test solutions for functional and environmental tests, resolving complex challenges through communication and innovative thinking with design engineering and production customers. The position is part of BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, offering opportunities to learn, engage, apply, and progress within the company by working alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects and engaging in career development opportunities.
Requirements
- Must have completed your sophomore or junior year of a four year degree program in a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Going into your junior or senior year for a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer or Electrical.
- High motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products
- Circuit design experience
- Software experience in C# and C++
- NI TestStand experience
- US Person
Responsibilities
- Design the hardware and/or software test solutions for Navigation and Sensor Systems products (GPS receivers, and microelectronics).
- Develop thermal and vibration test solutions for environmental stress and screening requirements.
- Provide engineering support of test solutions in engineering labs and operations.
