About The Position

PSEG is looking for Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the Operational Excellence Team. Customer Outreach engages with the community and industry through events and conferences to raise awareness and drive participation in energy efficiency and payment assistance programs to help customers manage bills and save energy. In addition, Customer Outreach manages all payment assistance communications and promotions including campaign targeting, creative, development, production, and execution. This position will be Hybrid Flexible from PSE&G’s Newark office with a minimum of three days a week in the office.

Requirements

  • The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in marketing, communications, and Public Relations and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
  • incumbents must have completed sophomore-level course work for consideration.
  • Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG and customer locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
  • Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
  • All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions.
  • incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship.
  • We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed.
  • Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.

Responsibilities

  • Research new and repeat conferences and events to determine alignment for attendance
  • Communicate with colleagues and vendors to ascertain availability for attendance
  • Plan and organize participation in conferences and events
  • Set up exhibit space at conferences and events in accordance with established protocols
  • Attend in-person conferences and events to promote energy efficiency programs to customers
  • Identify, document, and implement process improvement opportunities
