About The Position

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the PSE&G Technical Training Department. This job involves working with training and development specialists that design and conduct technical training for PSE&G’s trade apprentices. This project offers a hands-on opportunity to support the modernization of the Appliance Service Training Program. The intern will collaborate with instructors and technical training staff to organize course materials, review instructional media, and align curriculum with current field practices. The work completed will directly contribute to a major curriculum update scheduled for 2026.

Requirements

  • The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Business Management, Information Technology or a related field and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
  • Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
  • Because this position may require driving to various PSEG Locations, a valid driver’s license and clean driving history is required.

Responsibilities

  • Organize Curriculum Materials: Collect and structure course content for Service Parts 1–3, Inside/Outside Meter Set Inspection, and Heat Pump/Mini-Split training.
  • Audit and Update Media: Review existing PowerPoints and videos; research and catalog updated vendor/industry videos for use in training.
  • Course Objectives Alignment: Work with instructors to finalize and document clear course objectives and outlines.
  • Tools & Equipment Review: Reconcile training tool/equipment lists with field standards by cross-referencing Tech Support systems and Hilti categorization.
  • Database Development: Build a searchable system for course materials and instructional media to streamline future curriculum updates.
