About The Position

Elastic Education is seeking a new colleague to join their team as a Technical Instructor. In this role, you will teach customers how to effectively use Elastic products and solutions, contributing to their success through technical training programs. You will also collaborate with the Curriculum team to continuously review and improve training materials, and provide input for new material development. Instructors are also considered ambassadors for Elastic. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and does not require micro-management. This is an opportunity to join a passionate, distributed, and largely remote team that aims to make a significant impact with customers.

Requirements

• Experience as Technical Instructor, Consultant, Presales, or public speaker to technical audiences (engineers, developers, and other technical positions) on enterprise infrastructure software technology
• Excellent presentation and customer interaction skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way
• Clear articulation and fluency in English
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of cybersecurity experience
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, CASP+
• 2+ years of Education experience
• Deep understanding of Elasticsearch, including Elastic certifications
• Experience in curriculum development, contributing to open-source projects, or participating in community engagements (meetups, conferences, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
• Possess active security clearance

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-day virtual and on-site Elastic training courses and workshops to enable our customers and drive business value
• Teach extremely technical concepts clearly and concisely to large audiences in an engaging manner
• Collaborate with the Curriculum team on the development of new courses and course release updates
• Collaborate with the Training Operations team for continuous improvement of our LMS (Learning Management System), virtual training platform and processes
• Mentor and coach new instructors
• Ability to work on your own initiative with fanatical attention to detail
• Strong customer advocacy, relationship building, and verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working remotely in a highly distributed team.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to accommodate and support changing priorities in a growing company
• Willing and able to travel globally up to 60%, primarily in the US
