Per Scholas is seeking an industry experienced Low-Voltage Fiber Technician Instructor to deliver a hands-on training program that prepares entry-level adult learners for careers in fiber optics, structured cabling, low-voltage installation, telecommunications infrastructure, data center cabling, and security and fire alarm systems installation. The ideal candidate is a safety-minded, field-experienced technical trainer who can teach learners how to install, terminate, test, certify, document, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling systems across residential, commercial, construction, and data center environments. This person should be comfortable leading physical labs, modeling professional jobsite expectations, supporting certification preparation, and using AI-enabled tools to strengthen technical troubleshooting, documentation, and learner readiness. To succeed in this role, the instructor must combine strong technical credibility with learner-centered instructional practice, clear communication, attention to safety, and the ability to translate real-world field experience into structured classroom labs, workplace simulations, and job-aligned assessments.
