About The Position

The Technical Instructor Level II/Gaming Instructor delivers individual, collective, and leader training using Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS), including Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Virtual Battlespace 3 (VBS3), Games for Training (GFT), and low-overhead simulation drivers such as DXTRS. The position operates supported-unit MCIS, provides over-the-shoulder training, supports EXCON/HICON and response-cell operations, and evaluates training effectiveness through post-training assessments and after-action reviews. The applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the Government customer.

Requirements

  • Completion of the U.S. Army Senior Leader Course or higher.
  • Completion of a formal course on one or more U.S. Army MCIS.
  • Two or more years of military training or instructional experience.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more MCIS, tools, and training simulations, specifically CPCE, VBS3, and DXTRS.
  • Experience with operations and training requirements for a Battalion-or-higher command post.
  • U.S. citizenship, as required for access associated with the Secret-clearance requirement.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Military service with experience comparable to the required qualifications.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army training, operations, TADSS, and MCIS.
  • Experience using VBS3 and DXTRS to stimulate MCIS individual and collective training.
  • Knowledge of Brigade and Battalion staff and NCO-led processes in Combined Arms Training Strategies execution.
  • SharePoint or other collaboration-tool experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual, collective, and leader training using MCIS, VBS3, GFT, and low-overhead simulation drivers to build Government personnel and unit training readiness.
  • Operate supported-unit MCIS and provide over-the-shoulder training and coaching to unit MCIS operators.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in MCIS, gaming, and simulations, including CPCE, VBS3, and DXTRS.
  • Develop and maintain daily coaching and observation logs, technical SOPs, and quick-reference guides for unit operators.
  • Support EXCON, HICON, and response-cell operations during training events and exercises.
  • Conduct leader and staff individual and collective command-post, exercise, and institutional training in accordance with current doctrine and the Decisive Action Training Environment/Operational Environment.
  • Support and facilitate after-action reviews and prepare AAR slide decks, written post-exercise training effectiveness reports, and EXCON/HICON communication and action logs.
  • Collect and analyze post-training assessments and after-action feedback to refine future training requirements and materials.
  • Provide weekly or monthly status inputs detailing hours worked, classes taught, system issues resolved, and upcoming planning milestones.
  • Maintain proficiency on assigned Army MCIS, gaming tools, and simulations and collaborate with other instructors and technical personnel.
  • Submit required training and exercise deliverables to the Primary Program POC and COR in the Government-approved format and within the required timeline.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
