About The Position

The Technical Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate is responsible for delivering detailed product information, handling customer inquiries via phone, and processing orders efficiently. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Supervisor or Manager as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required at a minimum
• Minimum 2 years of valve/flow control industry or a technical/mechanical background in a sales role.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to manage workload peaks
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Outlook and Excel
• Strong attention to detail.
• Applicants who currently hold, or will require in the future, visa sponsorship (e.g., E, F-1/OPT/CPT, H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J, or TN) are ineligible
• Employment is contingent upon a successful background screening and compliance with federal requirements, including drug testing for controlled substances under the federal Controlled Substances Act, which includes marijuana. This requirement applies regardless of state or local marijuana/cannabis laws.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred candidate resides in metro Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnesota, and the surrounding areas
• Industrial valve experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes and take customer orders.
• Order and source products.
• Negotiate sales and purchases prices.
• Proactively generate sales and promote company products.
• Expedite backorders and work backlog management report daily.
• Assist with pulling inventory and preparing shipments.
• Assist with customer returns.
• Troubleshoot customer concerns.
