The WV Grant Resources Center at West Virginia University is seeking a Technical/Grant Writer for a full-time remote position. This role involves assisting local governments, nonprofits, businesses, and other eligible applicants with grant identification, writing, and submission, as well as project development and pitch decks to foster economic development and build community capacity in West Virginia. The primary focus is on the pre-award process, creating competitive proposals and supporting the submission of complete application packages for economic and community development projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines, facilitating meetings, understanding technical writing, grant funding criteria, and utilizing creative problem-solving skills for project design and development. Strong written and oral communication, research skills, and a professional, team-oriented attitude are essential. Some travel is required. This is a grant-funded position. A passion for West Virginia and the WVU mission is highly valued.
