About The Position

NH Ross is a family-run business founded in 1971, specializing in residential Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Gas Conversions, and Electrical services in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. We are seeking a results-driven leader with experience in managing residential installation projects to lead and build a high-performing team. This role focuses on overseeing all residential installation jobs (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical), leading and developing technicians, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven leadership & technical hands-on field experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical installations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage labor, materials, and schedules effectively.
Excellent communication and coaching skills.
A proactive, hands-on manager who can follow through before, during, and after each job.
Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee all residential installation jobs (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical).
Lead, coach, and develop installation technicians and parts expeditor.
Ensure jobs are properly staged, equipped, and completed on time and within budget.
Set daily expectations with install teams; review proposals, materials, and tools before each job.
Maintain high standards for safety, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor job progress, conduct site inspections, and complete quality control checklists.
Collaborate with sales and coordination teams to prepare jobs and resolve issues quickly.
Track labor and material costs to meet company financial goals.
Maintain callbacks below 4% through proactive quality control.
