Trumpf is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in our Flexible Systems Department at our Hoffman Estates, IL location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning. Internship Duration: Onsite in Hoffman Estates, IL from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 24 hours weekly
Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
- Strong inter-personal communication skills
- Ability to work as a team player.
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks – 3D modeling software
- Microsoft Office
- Good technical understanding of process flows
- Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
Responsibilities
- Support layout engineers; prepare layout and foundation drawings
- Process buildings scans
- Prepare system 3D assemblies
- Prepare 2D Layout and foundation drawings
- Create technical documentation: System configuration overview (e.g. LiftMaster, Tube Storage)
- Prepare guidelines for layout process
- Support with technical library: Create SmartSheet Dashboard to allow easy entry of topics
- Create work instruction
