Technical Engineering Lead-Local to Bay area--California Needed
About The Position
This role is for a Technical Engineering Lead, local to the Bay Area, with a focus on the enterprise data platform and data engineering. The position requires interfacing with both business stakeholders and engineering teams, working directly with engineers to guide data products or data warehousing initiatives. While hands-on coding is not expected, a deep understanding of schemas, databases, and ETL processes is crucial. The primary data warehouse platform is Snowflake, but experience with other big data platforms like Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift is also acceptable. The current ETL tool is Informatica, though direct expertise is not required. This role is not focused on analytics or visualization.
Requirements
- Strong data ecosystem background.
- Experience leading data products or data warehousing initiatives.
- Solid understanding of schemas, databases, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Ability to engage deeply with engineers and understand technical concepts.
- Familiarity with Snowflake.
- Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift) is acceptable.
- Familiarity with Informatica ETL tool.
