About The Position

As a Technical Engineering Lead, AP1000 Non-LOCA, you will serve as the primary lead and point of contact (POC) for all AP1000 Non-LOCA (Loss of Coolant Accident) activities. This includes support of operating plant commercial project and new plant (APX/AP300) development efforts that support PSAR and SDA approval submittals. You will provide coordinated technical leadership across interfacing organizations and business units to effectively manage plant strategies and increasing workload demands. You will report to the Manager, Transient Analysis. You will be located at our Cranberry, PA corporate headquarters and the role is a hybrid position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, Electrical, etc)
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • Engineering knowledge and leadership, either as a Technical Lead or Project Manager
  • In-depth knowledge about Transient Analysis or Containment Analysis applications and tools
  • Technical interest and predisposition for understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities
  • Lead engineering efforts on a project at the discipline level
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineers in the execution of complex tasks

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of project scope definitions and cost estimates for AP1000 Non-LOCA projects.
  • Resolve standing “as-found” technical issues, close coordination with the Nuclear Fuels organization, and management of FOAK elements for AP1000/AP300 applications.
  • Guide alignment for new and evolving methodology advanced fuel concepts, high burnup/enrichment, and improved analytical tools.
  • Provide technical direction for operating plant and new plant applications during proposal and execution phases of work.
  • Oversee engineering teams to ensure application of design debt, design control requirements, and resolution of legacy issues.
  • Support issue troubleshooting and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
  • Establish mentorship relationships with assigned deputies and junior engineers.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to develop the next generation of subject matter experts in AP1000 and AP300 Non-LOCA analyses.
  • Support workforce capability growth to meet long-term program needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Lead the incorporation of new analysis methods and tools into active projects while maintaining consistency with licensing and regulatory commitments.
  • Ensure project execution and analytical products comply with current regulatory requirements.
  • Help support and develop new plant regulatory applications across multiple international markets, including Poland, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands.
  • Participate in project and group-level activities such as schedule reviews, workforce planning, progress reviews, and customer workshops.
  • Maintain visibility, accountability, and agreement across project teams and leadership to support successful execution and customer satisfaction.
